A message from the Team
A message to all our patients, whether you have been with us for 20 years or transferred this weekend…
We know the last few weeks have been uncertain and unsettling, it has been quite a change for us too!
Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the Springmead team during such a difficult time.Behind the scenes we have been supporting Springmead to care for some of the most vulnerable patients whilst the practice prepared to close. We have also been looking at how we can support our own team to do what they do best… looking after our patients.Initially, this has been recruiting new team members into all areas of the practice and we are pleased to say you will soon be seeing new faces joining the team. Please be patient with them during our training process. We are still recruiting some roles, if you are interested in joining us please visit www.jobs.nhs.uk
In the coming week we are also creating additional space as well as having a new phone system being installed. More on this to follow…
A little about Ariel Healthcare…
There has been a lot of speculation around our name and the history of the Practice.
As part of the merge of Tawstock and Essex House in October 2022, our name changed to Ariel Healthcare. The name was chosen by the practice team who wanted to maintain a link with the town we look after. Ariel was the name of Stringfellow’s plane. We are owned and run by a team of GPs who are passionate about creating a sustainable Primary Care service in Chard. All have worked locally for at least the last 10 years, no corporate companies involved!
We will be sharing more information about the services we offer over the coming weeks so please do follow our page. You can also find more information on our website www.arielhealthcare.nhs.uk
Finally, we would like to use this opportunity to ask that you remain kind and respectful of our team. They are all working incredibly hard, in challenging circumstances. We are committed to ensure that Primary Care remains in Chard. With the support of the Chard community we can shape a service that is not only sustainable but provides a high quality level of care for all.
