IMPORTANT UPDATE - Changes at our Fore Street site

Further to the building work last week, our Reception and Waiting Room Area at our Fore St site will remain closed. We have therefore implemented the following changes to our systems for the foreseeable future:

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as the team are working in difficult circumstances to maintain our appointment capacity.

Change in Location of Entrance: The main entrance to the Practice has been relocated the rear of the building, accessed via the car park.

Check-In Procedure: Upon arrival, please proceed directly to the new entrance, where our staff will assist you with check-in. The check-in screen is in the process of being moved to assist with checking-in.  We recommend arriving as close to your appointment time as possible as the waiting area has been reduced.

Queries/Appointment Booking: Unfortunately, we are unable to deal with routine requests at the Fore St site whilst these changes are in place. This is due to the reduced waiting area and the need to maintain patient confidentiality.

We have significantly increased our online consultation platform for all routine enquiries. This can be accessed via our website www.arielhealthcare.nhs.uk.

Patients can continue to contact the practice in the usual way via telephone. With our new team becoming more established, the waiting times on the phones are reducing. Don't forget to press 1 for a call back during our busy times.

Collection of prescriptions/ correspondence:  All paper prescriptions/ letters/ correspondence due for collection will be available from St Mary’s site after 12 midday each day.

A box for prescription requests is available on the check-in desk for you to drop off your prescription requests. Please Do Not use the letterbox at the front of the building.

Finally, whilst we understand the changes are a frustration to both patients and the practice alike, please be kind to the team. The extend of the work needed could not have been foresseen and therefore we are working to establish new ways of working as quickly as possible.

We appreciate that communication is key and will provide a further updates as we have them.
